StonePi

The bedrock of your digital home.

Turn your Raspberry Pi into your personal home server for apps, information and devices.

Set it up in about 30 minutes

Ten apps for the household

Each person sees the ones they use.

TapClick an app to see what it does.

NewsCast

The news feeds you trust as one tidy daily paper, on your phone or your e-reader.

EventTrakr

What's on locally this week in one agenda. Star events and sync them to your calendar.

Ripple

Keep family far away up to date: post news and photos, and they appear on a TRMNL e-ink screen in their home.

SportGuide

What's on sports TV and streams, narrowed to the teams and competitions you follow.

PriceScout Denmark

This week's supermarket offers from the stores you use, compared side by side.

Uses Danish sources only, for now.

Pinboard

A shared noticeboard: notes and short reminders the whole household sees.

PriceWatch Denmark

Watch the products you're after and get a ping when one hits your target price.

Uses Danish sources only, for now.

Library

Pick from the Kiwix catalogue (Wikipedia, Project Gutenberg, Stack Exchange and more), download it to your Pi, and read and search it with no internet.

FileServe

Host pages and share files on your home network, from one upload to a whole site, including the apps you build in Studio.

Studio

Build small apps, games and one-page how-tos by describing them in a chat, for kids and adults alike. Share them through FileServe.

Built in

The plumbing every app shares, ready from the first sign-in.

Bring your own AI

Plug in the AI you already use. Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic in the cloud, or Ollama on a machine at home. Put your models in order and StonePi moves to the next one when a model is busy or out of quota. Studio uses it to build apps from a chat, and Pebble uses it for spoken replies. NewsCast summarises on the Pi with no AI at all, and can use it for summaries, translation and ranking once you switch it on.

Made for your phone

Every app works the same way, light or dark, on a phone, tablet or desk.

NewsCast's Briefing: today's stories from the feeds you chose
EventTrakr's 7-day agenda of local events, filtered by day, category and source
SportGuide listing today's football with the channels showing it
NewsCast, EventTrakr and SportGuide: today's news, this week's plans and what's on.

Beyond the phone

StonePi also runs the devices around your home: e-ink displays, a desk control panel and a voice sidekick, all set up in Notify.

TRMNL

StonePi pushes its own dashboard to your TRMNL, alongside the plugins you already use: system health, which apps are up, your last backup, and what's coming up from EventTrakr. Arrange the widgets over a live preview in Notify; StonePi sends only what changed.

Works with TRMNL OG and TRMNL X · uses a Private Plugin or Webhook Image webhook

Car Thing

Plug a Spotify Car Thing into the Pi and it becomes a desk control panel, and a Spotify remote again. See what’s playing on your speakers, skip and turn the dial for volume, move the music to another room, or start a playlist from a preset. Swipe between pages of widgets for the clock, weather, events, sport and your Pi’s health. Service restarts sit behind a PIN.

Pebble

A cute little voice sidekick for StonePi. Push to talk, ask about the weather, today's events, reminders, the news or how StonePi is doing, and it answers out loud. Its face shows the house's mood. Each Pebble belongs to one person and uses only the apps you allow. Speech is handled on the Pi, and it works away from home too.

Start from the standard Raspberry Pi OS. StonePi installs on top and keeps the OS yours.

Guided setup

Raspberry Pi Imager prepares the card, then one install line sets up StonePi. About 30 minutes, step by step.

Updates itself

Once it's running, StonePi updates its apps from its own Settings page.

Ready to set it up?

You need a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5, a microSD card and a computer to set it up from. The guide takes you from a blank card to StonePi, one step at a time.
